About Sadie
Hello fellow foodies!
My name is Sadierose Saucier and I was born and raised in northeast Connecticut, where I still reside. I live with my husband Scot, and two cats Nazz & Pearl. During the day I am a dental hygienist and nights/weekends I am an amateur food blogger/chef in my personal kitchen.
On this blog you will find a focus around “animal-based”recipes, with other minimally toxic and easy to digest whole foods.
75% of my week I spend eating the same foods : ground beef, eggs, steak, butter, raw milk, raw cheese, goat kefir, avocado, fruit, and some dates/honey/maple syrup. The other 25% is spent being a foodie in my kitchen, creating minimal toxic recipes that anyone would love.
There tends to be a lot of tension around “diets” and ways of eating. People get so obsessed that they put down people for consuming certain foods. THIS IS NOT WHAT MY PAGE IS ABOUT. My hopes for this food blog is to share natural simple recipes with people and show them they can still have their favorite foods without all of the chemicals, seed oils, fake sugars, etc.
The Standard American Diet that so many people are consuming is leading to many chronic health problems. I want to show you that using simple whole food ingredients can be even more satisfying than these disease laden foods and you will notice the difference in your digestion and overall energy/mood.
When I first moved in with my husband after college, we both became interested in a healthier lifestyle. We were both raised on a standard American diet. We knew something needed to change if we wanted to live a long and healthy life together.
We started off slow, eliminating processed foods, sugars, carbs, etc. This transformed into different levels of Keto and Paleo diets. As the years go on, we continue to eliminate foods that don’t do our body and digestion justice. Animal based foods seem to be the right thing for our bodies, and so many others would agree, as this way of eating is becoming more popular.
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. If you are here and you are struggling with digestion and/or auto-immune symptoms, I urge you to try an animal-based approach.
This transformation did not come easy to me because I am SUCH A FOODIE. I will always cherish the childhood meals and snacks I had growing up, as I am sure so many of you do too. Food is a huge part of any culture. We want to sit around and enjoy dishes with our favorite people. This led me to fall in love with cooking, so I could recreate and enjoy my favorite dishes with healthier, whole food ingredients and share them with my family.
I hope you try these recipes for yourself and realize that you can still enjoy food while properly nourishing your body.
